OSFL & Football Ontario Announces 2023 Summer Cup Hosts and Locations
Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario and the OSFL are excited to announce the host site for the 2023 Football Ontario Summer Cup at all age levels. The largest amateur tackle football event in the province will be held over the course of two weekends in London, ON.
The OSFL and Football Ontario are proud to announce that the U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 2023 Football Ontario Summer Cup will be held in London, ON and will be hosted by the London JR Mustangs as decided by the OSFL membership.
The U10 and U12 championships will be held the weekend of July 22-23. The U14, U16 and U18 championships are to be held the weekend of August 4-6th.
“We are very excited the London JR Mustangs are hosting both OSFL Championship weekends this summer. They hosted our U14-U18 last year and it was a huge success. Their amazing team of volunteers go over and above to ensure everyone has a great experience. Looking forward to watching the best football teams from across our Province come together in London for the Summer Cup” says Marny Sharpen, Ontario Summer Football League Chair.
The 2023 Football Ontario Summer Cup will be the culmination of the playoffs in the Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL) with the victors of the Summer Cup being crowned the OSFL and Provincial Champions at each age group.
The 2023 Football Ontario Summer Cup will be the largest amateur tackle football event held in Ontario to date with 40+ Teams, 2000+ Participants and an event that spans over Two Weekends in London, ON.
“The OSFL will crown its second group of champions during the provincial Summer Cup series. There is no bigger event for tackle football at the provincial level than the Summer Cup. The JR Mustangs did a fantastic job last year delivering the event and we could not be more excited to have them hosting once again this year.” says Aaron Geisler, Executive Director of Football Ontario.
